The 24gm 1300kv brushless motor (also called 2730) is a truly wonderful and versatile motor that earned the nickname “Blue Wonder” (it once had a blue color, unfortunately current models are silver) because it can handle a wide variety of props and can be used with 1S, 2S, or 3S Lipo batteries. The maximum recommended current draw is around 10 amps. The recommended 2-blade propeller with a 3S system is a 8×6, and on our twin-engine models it performs very well with a 9×7 3-bladed propeller. We’ve also used it with a 10×3 prop on a 2S ultra-light Damioselle model.
This package the aluminum mount and bullet connectors. A propsaver or prop adapter is required (not included). The motor shaft diameter is 3.0mm. For best results we strongly recommend using a removeable “threadlocker” compound on the tiny grub screws that hold the motor to the mount.
We offer several custom-designed 3D-printed spinners specifically designed for the 3-bladed props in varieties appropriate for our models.
This motor is also available in a 1700kv version ( we call it the “Blue Monster” and a 3000kv version (called the OMG). Same physical size but higher RRM and current draw.
This picture shows a “Blue Wonder” motor mounted on our HE219 UHU with a 9x7prop (the propsaver propeller mount isn’t included in this picture)
