Description
This is a very good-quality two-part epoxy which is an excellent all-purpose adhesive.
This package contains two 2-ounce bottles, part A (Resin) and part B (Hardener) which are mixed at a 1 to 1 ratio.
The 15-minute type cures fairly fast, so you don’t have to wait too long before it starts to set. It will be no longer spreadable after about 12-15 minutes and will be completely cured in 30-45 minutes. I also sell types which take longer to dry.
Epoxy is slightly flexible (not rock-hard), its completely waterproof, and resists most solvents. It dries clear, but it will yellow over time when exposed to direct sunlight. Painting it will protect it. Epoxy will withstand freezing temperatures and heat up to about 150F and after that it will start to soften.
For best results use at room temperature. Dispense a line of glue on a piece of scrap paper from one bottle, then dispense a line of glue from the other bottle so that you can be sure that you have the same amount of each part. Then mix together with a popsicle stick (or similar) very well for about 30 seconds and apply immediately to the item that you are gluing. Clamping is not needed. Before the epoxy has cured you can remove excess with alcohol (methanol or isopropyl). Discard the leftover mixed epoxy. Recap the bottles and keep dry. If the epoxy becomes stiff while in storage, simply microwave it with the cap OFF for 10-15 seconds and gently agitate… it will return to perfect condition. Epoxy does not go bad over time but it will absorb moisture and crystallize. Heating it releases the moisture.
