The “regular” version of the 32″ ME163 Komet is much easier to build than the “combat” version. It has only 7 foam parts – including an undercambered wing. Its lighter and can use a less powerful motor and smaller battery compared to the Combat version. It flies really well but its not a speedster. It can be flown very easily with a 2-cell battery, or with more spirited performance with a 3-cell pack. (We recommend a 3-cell battery for outdoor flying)
The kit includes the foam parts needed to build this model, along with a fully detailed construction manual and some accessories such as the pull-pull control system. The model is not assembled or painted, so the customer needs to supply glue, paint, and other hobby tools, servos, motors, and electronics in order to put it together. This model is designed for a single 1700kV 17gm brushless motors and 2-bladed 7″ propeller (not included but available separately).
The fuselage and wings of this 32″ model feature detailed “panel lines” on one side.
Note: this model is also available in a smaller “mini” version, which is very simple to build but much faster. Click here to see the smaller kit.
