1m Carbon Fiber TUBES - pick the size

Carbon-fiber tubes are an easy way to add strength and flexibility to your model. Tubes are lighter (and stiffer) than rods of the same size. These are "pultruded" tubes.

The wall thickness is the difference between the Outer Diameter and Inner Diameter divided by two.  The standard nominal wall thickness is 1mm. Some of the tubes have thinner walls, these are marked "TW" - and these are somewhat lighter. The 16x12 tube has thicker 2mm walls.

The size shown is the nominal inside and outside diameter. The precision varies and you may or may not be able to insert rods into the tubes.

    6-32 fits inside 4mm inner diameter tubes

    4-40 fits inside 3mm inner diameter tubes

    2-56 fits inside 2mm inner diameter tubes

All of these products are 1 meter in length (39.37 inches). They may be cut with a high-speed "cut-off" wheel. You can use virtually any adhesive on them (Foam-Tac works great), for best results roughen the surface a bit with sandpaper.

Shipping these items requires a cardboard mailing tube - please note that its almost always more economical to order several pieces (mixed sizes and types) because ALL of them will fit into one mailing tube.
