The 3000KV motor is the same physical size as the 1300 kv and1700 kv Blue Wonders.
but...
There was a time I saw my good friend Dan Greathouse flying a 21" Mini Swift flying wing (which weighs less than 4.5oz without the battery (picture below). He was flying it lazily around the field and I thought he was using a regular "Blue Wonder" - but when he gave it full throttle, the instant acceleration and speed made me involuntarily gasp out loud and say "Oh My God!". Vertical and out of sight in seconds! So.... we decided to call this motor the OMG.
Its the same size but significantly faster than our 1700kv "Blue Monster" brushless motor and draws more amps - and requires a smaller propeller. For best performance use with a lightweight model. The motor can produce over 1 pound of thrust with a 3S battery. I am using a 4.7x4.25 APC propeller
on my own Swift, pictured here.

Use this motor with lightweight models that can handle high speed. You can use a 20-amp ESC with this motor - its rated at 19 amps but it can draw up to 22 amps for short bursts. Due to the high current draw its very easy to completely ruin a battery (or ESC) if you're not careful! I have done it! Your Lipo battery needs to have a high C rating, like 50 or 100.
The motor is supplied with the aluminum motor mount and 2mm connectors. NOTE: the motor is no longer blue - its mostly silver now. You'll need an ESC, a suitable prop, and a propsaver or prop adapter (not included, but available separately), and a firewall. For best results we strongly recommend using a removeable "threadlocker" compound on the tiny grub screws that hold the motor to the mount. Safety is paramount!
