This 35mm-diameter 3D-printed plastic spinner is the correct scale shape and size for THREE different Rabid Models planes - the 48" UHU (Eagle Owl) and JU-88, and the 50" J1N1 Gekko.
This spinner is designed specifically for the standard-rotation 9x7 3-bladed propeller that we sell. 35mm is 1.38 inches - and this spinner could be used on any R/C model that uses this propeller. The spinner's backplate is installed behind the propeller with a prop adapter (available separately), then the spinner cone snaps on - so no other hardware is needed.
This spinner was designed to be nearly identical in size to the original black rubber GWS spinner seen in the picture below, which is no longer available.
The 3D-printed product is not perfectly smooth due to the nature of the printing process, but it can be sanded smooth and painted. The backplate has a centering hole which needs to be drilled out to match your application. We recommend painting (3D printed parts can degrade over time when exposed to sunlight).
This item is sold as a set of 2 spinners (2 cones and 2 backplates). You will need two propellers and two prop adapters, these are NOT included but are available separately from Rabid Models.
This spinner is for the larger-size models that take the 9x7 3-bladed propellers. We also manufacture smaller spinners for our other models.
This picture shows the original GWS rubber spinner we installed but the 3D version is the same shape and size, This picture shows the 48" He-219 installation. The prototype model used a simple 1L soda bottle (painted and detailed with a sharpie) to make a realistic cowling, but now we also offer a 3D-printed cowling as well.
