This 35mm-diameter 3D-printed plastic spinner is the correct scale shape and size for THREE different Rabid Models planes - the 48" UHU (Eagle Owl) and JU-88, and the 50" J1N1 Gekko.
This spinner is designed specifically for the 9x7 3-bladed propeller that we sell. The spinner's backplate is installed behind the propeller with a prop adapter (available separately), then the spinner cone snaps on - so no other hardware is needed.
This spinner was designed to be nearly identical in size to the rubber GWS spinner seen in the picture below, which is no longer available.
The 3D-printed product is not perfectly smooth due to the nature of the printing process, but it can be sanded smooth. The backplate has a centering hole which needs to be drilled out to match your application. We recommend painting (3D printed parts can degrade over time when exposed to sunlight).
This item is sold as a set of 2 spinners (2 cones and 2 backplates). You will need two propellers and two prop adapters, these are NOT included but are available separately from Rabid Models.
We manufacture two different sizes of this spinner available to match the two different kits that we offer. This listing is for the larger-size models that take the 9x7 3-bladed propellers.
This picture shows the original GWS rubber spinner we installed but the 3D version is the same shape and size, This picture of the He-219 installation shows what can be done with paint, a sharpie, and a simple 1L soda bottle to make a realistic cowling.
