10gm 2000kv brushless motor
10gm 2000kv brushless motor
The 10gm 2000kv brushless motor (also called 1811) is a really excellent little motor that can handle a variety of props and can be used with 1S, 2S, or 3S Lipo batteries. Typical propeller when used with a 3S battery is a 2-blade 6x3. This motor is rated at 150gm of thrust with the 6x3 propeller at 4 amps.
For the Rabid Models 28" twin-engine models that we sell, we use a 3-bladed 5x3 or 5x4 propeller (the 5" diameter propeller is close to the correct scale size). For the Rabid Models "Mini-Komet" ME163 we use a 3S battery and 4x4 propeller for the best performance. Rabid Models offers several propellers in our catalog.
In this package the aluminum mount and 2mm bullet connectors are included with the motor. You'll need a suitable propeller, a prop adapter or O-ring propsaver is required (not included, sold separately), and a plywood firewall. The motor shaft diameter is 2.0mm. For best results we strongly recommend using a removeable "threadlocker" compound on the tiny grub screws that hold the motor to the mount. In most cases you'll also need a wood "firewall" (available separately).
As with all brushless motors, a brushless ESC is required (available separately). The direction of rotation can be reversed by switching any 2 of the 3 motor leads.
We offer several custom-designed 3D-printed spinners for our models which fit this motor and our 3-bladed props, please refer to our catalog.
