BARGE CEMENT is an "old fashioned" glue used by shoemakers since the 1900's. Its also called "Cobbler's Glue". Originally designed for leather shoe repair! It works really well on cloth, hard and soft rubber, leather and many other items.
This is an amber-colored neoprene-based contact cement. To use, apply a thin film to both surfaces and allow to dry - 30 minutes to a few hours. Wait until its no longer wet, it will be tacky. Then press the items together and press VERY HARD (use a clamp) for 2 minutes and the items will be permanently fused. This glue stays flexible and is waterproof. For best results, roughen smooth surfaces for the best bond.
Amber color
Strong, Waterproof, and flexible when dry
Excellent adhesion to a wide variety of materials, such as rubber, leather, fiber materials, fabrics, hardwood, soft wood, cork, metal, glass, stone, concrete, etc.
NOT for foam, polyurethane, PVC, or Vinyl.
Solvent based (it does have a strong odor). NOT for long-term storage, the solvent will evaporate over time. We suggest it should be used quickly.
