hese custom-designed control horns can be inserted & glued into a foam control surface or glued directly into a balsa structure. There are THREE different kinds (Two 3D-printed and one plywood) - these are for SMALL R/C models.
Two 3d-printed control horns. One is tiny, for use in thin foam. The other is little taller with a larger gluing surface for thicker foam. Hopefully the pictures are explanatory. The horns have a very small "starter hole" for the pushrod z-bend, which you can enlarge. Suitable for .032-size wire or smaller. All are sold in a pack of 4 pieces.
Note: the smaller white one is the one used in Derek Micko's FSM Corsair for the aileron and elevator.
Dimensions for the 3D-printed control horns:
Small: 12.7x12x1.5mm The mounting blade is about 2mm tall. When embedded in 2mm foam, the attachment point for the smaller one is about 7mm above the surface.
Taller: 13x15x1.7mm For use in thicker foam - it has two small holes in the larger 5mm blade for better glue adhesion and the attachment point is about 8mm above the surface. Weight: 0.15gm each. White PETG plastic.
Dimensions for the plywood part: 1.25" x 3/4" x 1/32" The blade is 1 inch long. There are two pushrod attachment holes. When embedded in 5mm foam, the attachment point is about 10mm above the surface.
