24gm 1700kv "Blue Monster" brushless motor

The 24gm 1700kv "Blue Monster" brushless motor (also called 2730) is a higher-speed version of the similar 1300KV "Blue Wonder" motor. The maximum recommended current draw is around 12 amps.

Regarding the Prop - when using a 3S battery, the 1700KV motor requires a smaller propeller than the 1300kv "Blue Wonder". The recommended 2-blade propeller with a 3S battery setup is a 6x5.5 APC. We've used this combo on the Rabid Models "Combat Komet" and the ME-262.

When using a 2S battery, the 1700KV motor can use a 3-blade 8x4.5 or a 2-blade 8x6 propeller. 

The 1700 motor is identical in size and weight to the 1300. These motors no longer have the lovely blue anodized color that gave them their nickname, unfortunately.... they are silver now.

The motor is supplied with the aluminum motor mount and 2mm bullet connectors.  You'll need a 12 or 15-amp ESC, a suitable propeller, and a propsaver or prop adapter (not included, but we sell these items separately). For best results we strongly recommend using a removeable "threadlocker" compound on the tiny grub screws when securing the motor to the mount.  You will also need some kind of "firewall", we sell them but a piece of 1/8" plywood will work.
