24gm 1700kv "Blue Monster" brushless motor

The 24gm 1700kv "Blue Monster" brushless motor (also called 2730) is a higher-speed version of the similar 1300KV "Blue Wonder" motor. It's the exact same size and weight but provides a significant boost over the 1300kv motor. It uses a smaller propeller.  The maximum recommended current draw is around 12 amps.

Regarding the Prop - Several choices are possible.  For top performance with a 3S battery we recommend a 2-blade 6x5.5 APC propeller. We've used this combo on the Rabid Models "Combat Komet" and the ME-262.

When using a 2S battery, the 1700KV motor can use a 3-blade 8x4.5 or a 2-blade 8x6 propeller. 

These motors no longer have the lovely blue anodized color that gave them their nickname, unfortunately.... they are mostly silver now.

The motor is supplied with the aluminum motor mount and bullet connectors.  You'll need a 12 or 15-amp ESC, a suitable propeller, and a propsaver or prop adapter (we sell these items separately). For best results we strongly recommend using a removeable "threadlocker" compound on the tiny grub screws when securing the motor to the mount.  You will also need some kind of "firewall", we sell them but a piece of 1/8" plywood will work.
