20" Bearcat F8F Profile Model Kit

Not all of our kits are twins! We really like the Bearcat.... The Tigercat's little brother.

The kit includes the foam parts needed to build this model, along with a fully detailed construction manual and some accessories such as the pull-pull control system. The model is not assembled, so the customer needs to supply glue, paint, and other hobby tools, servos, motors, and SMALL electronics in order to put it together. 

This is a SMALL model, suitable for micro-size equipment.   You may use a single 2000kV 10gm brushless motor (with a 3-cell Lipo) or a 5gm 4500kv motor (with a 2-cell Lipo) and 2-bladed 6" propeller (The motors and propellers are available separately).   Its very simple to build, but keep it as light as possible.  Its easy to fly and quick for its size - and it gets small in a hurry so keep it close in. You'll need sharp eyesight and quick reflexes!

We used a particular Yogurt cup for the cowl (not included, but you can order it HERE or you can just eat a yogurt!).  Now we also have a 3-D printed scale cowl for this model, you can order it here.  Its a little heavier than the Yogurt cup but is very close to the correct scale size and shape.

We also have a 16" "clipped wing" Rare Bear racing version of the Bearcat, which is even smaller and harder to see! We also offer a larger 29" size, available in Black Depron designed for the "Blue Wonder" motor and outdoor flying. NOTE quantities are limited for these special versions. Contact us for details.

The picture below shows off our custom-made 3D-printed plastic cowl.   Some trimming of the foam is needed for the 3D-printed cowl to fit the front part.  The main listing picture has the original Yogurt cup.
