Derek Micko's Fun Scale Models B24 Liberator "Wongo Wongo" is a masterpiece, a real "cut above" the other airplanes in his squadron. Although it has many features such as 4 motors, scale retracts, and 2 working bomb bays, it goes together with the same techniques and the laser-cut balsa kit will be available soon at Manzano Laser Works (click here). Derek has a detailed build log for this model, that you can see HERE.

Rabid Models is partnering with Derek to produce custom 3D-printed parts just for this plane! And the model uses some other 3D-printed parts from our inventory. Many other items are also available from Rabid Models, such as the motors, ESCs, propellers, servos, electronics, etc. Its a long list!
We've produced 3D-printed black rubber "diamond-tread" tires and fantastic scale mag wheel hubs for the main landing gear, along with a scale nosewheel and hub. You can add decorative strut covers to the main gear legs. We have an "acorn" prop hub (steel or plastic) that screws onto the prop adapters, and we have the 5" propellers. The small parts collection includes control horns, washers, sleeves, connectors, and gear wheels for the bomb-bay doors. We have the 3D-printed 2.16" model 500-lb bombs. The FSM B-24 uses a new locking 95-degree micro-retract unit. We have most of the servos as well, along with some other items like pushrod micro connectors. And we've designed some specialized sanding tools to shape the leading edges of the wings to the correct NACA profile specified in Derek's drawings.
SMALL PARTS SET "A" - includes the following 3D-printed items:
(3) 1/16" wheel washers, (2) 90-degree servo mounts for the nose retract, (2) small control horns for the ailerons, (2) micro torque-rod connectors for 0.047 wire, (2) micro 90-degree wire connectors for 0.047 wire, (2) connector sleeve for 1.5mm to 0.047 wire, (2) large rudder control horn, (4) 1/32" washers, (1) elevator control horn, clear plastic tube material, (4) eight-sided control horn with double-axle flange
THE MOTOR PACKAGE includes the following items:
Four 10gm 1811 2000kv brushless motors, four 12-amp ESCs, four motor mounts, four 5x4.5 propellers (2 std, 2 CR), and four prop adapters. You will need four propeller hubs, available separately (either steel or 3D-printed ones). You will most likely need three short Y-adapters (available separately) unless you use multiple throttle channels, and you'll need to make your own wiring harness.
General Notes: 3D-printed parts are PETG (except for the tires, which are TPU) and are unpainted but require very little preparation - they can be painted with any plastic-compatible paint. Painting is recommended because all plastics will deteriorate over time if exposed to sunlight. The propeller hub is designed to use a 5mm steel hex nut and screws onto a prop adapter. The decorative strut covers and wheel hubs can be glued together with CA or Foam-Tac cement. The scale wheel hub halves are designed to be glued onto the tire and have starter holes for the axle - drill out the holes to match the axle wire size you are using. The strut covers are designed to fit around 1/16" music-wire landing gear wire (as specified in the kit instructions). The other 3D parts are utilized as per Derek's instructions and his build log. The retracts operate with specific servos and other parts are required to be supplied by the customer per Derek's plans, such as various sizes of music wire, cardstock, plastic sheets, and wiring.
