47mm 1.85" 3D-Printed Spinners (PAIR) for the Fun Scale Models P-38

This 3D-printed spinner was designed specifically for Derek Micko's Fun Scale Models P-38 pictured here. Derek's build article for his P-38 was featured in Model Aviation!

This 3-blade spinner is 1.85" in diameter (47mm) and 1.52 inches tall (38.6mm). This set includes TWO spinners, standard and CR versions. These spinners are designed for the recommended 8x4.5 3-bladed prop (not included but available separately.) This spinner design will also work with the Rabid Models 40" profile model of the "Fork-Tailed Devil", which uses standard-rotation 9x7 3-blade propellers.

The spinner's backplate is installed behind the propeller with a standard "acorn" prop adapter (available separately), then the spinner cone simply snaps on securely - so no hardware is needed! No ugly screw holes or screws to get lost.

The design has some added surface detail (rivets and lines) as an added bonus. The finish is slightly rough due to the nature of the 3D printing process but it can be sanded and smoothed. The spinner backplate has a centering hole which needs to be carefully enlarged for your prop adapter. You may also need to drill out the center of the propeller hub to use the prop adapter. The P38 spinners are sold as a set of TWO 47mm spinners. The set includes 4 pcs: one standard-rotation spinner & backplate, and one reverse-rotation spinner and backplate. For use with electric motors only! Lightweight - each spinner is 10.4gms (0.37oz)

The propellers and prop adapters are NOT included but these are available separately.

We also offer a 50mm spinner. For comparison, this picture shows the 47mm spinner on the left and the original Rabid Models 50mm spinner on the right.

These spinners are absolutely needed to make your P38 look right - but IN ADDITION we also offer 3D-printed diamond-tread wheels especially for this model which are really outstanding. And - decorative strut covers as well!
